The last month has seen me sink a lot of time into the Twilight Wars project. Wizard Wars and Soul Wars are still on track but are deep in the design phase at the moment and there isn't much use for me on those projects just yet. The design team has however assured me that my work will start in due course. Anyway, back to Twilight Wars, my 30th November deadline for the Prototype is fast approaching and everything seems to be right on track at the moment. I have made a lot of progress and checked off a huge amount of tasks and bugs. Recently however I found myself spending way too much time on building the first test map and ended up redoing it twice because I wasn't entirely happy. I recently made the decision to finalise 5 more items on the map and then move back on to the core game work. The prototype will be released internally to a select set of testers around about the first week of December and based on the feedback received, we will then announce the Alpha and Beta release dates. I have already set these milestones for myself, but I need to make sure that they are achievable. The game is starting to look the way I want it to and barring a few GUI and HUD tweaks, the Prototype should prove to be quite enjoyable to play ... obviously without all the various game play modes and unlocks ... but we will get there.
